Activist Express Concern Over Insecurity in Delta State

The National Coordinator of Initiative for Social Rights Concerns and Advancement (ISRCA) AKA “No Justice, No Peace” has commiserate with Nigeria Police Force Delta State Command, Ebrumede Divisional Headquarters, in Efurun and the family of the bereaved police officer Culpra Chibuzor Ojobule, who died on 18 of August 2024, while on duty with the Police Team who on their patrol duty in the area, along Commissioner Road, off Uti, Efurun, armed men suspected to be kidnappers opened fire on the police vehicle, where the deceased officer happens to be the driver.
A statement signed by him and made available to Ahabamnews, Derrick Oritsematosan Agberen said there are no simple way to solve insecurity challenges and bad Governance in Nigeria, when a few people in the Country are playing dirty politics with over two hundred million Nigerians, but yet, they want a sane society. He continue whatever has befallen Nigeria were created by these leaders and it’s high time they started dancing to the rhythm , that insecurity will soon reach all the high and mighty in the society, it’s just a matter of time.
Derrick Agberen, ISRCA National Coordinator lamented the Nigeria Police, Army and their likes have become political instruments in the hands of politicians but yet, they have kept murmuring and clamouring for their poorly welfare schemes, but wouldn’t join their voices to the rest of Nigerians.
According to ISRCA National Coordinator, instead, they are turned against the poor. These issues must be resolved and become a thing of past, security agencies must be ready to join the next wave of protest.
ISRCA National Coordinator, commended the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Ebrumede Division, CSP Ndiforeke Ntafiona Iwoke, for the efforts being put to curb crimes in the area. It is quite unfortunate that the police put so much in the protection of human human lives and property but get so little , as regarding their welfare and other logistics both in and after service.
ISRCA National Coordinator explained that, it is too bad, it is the police officers and other security agencies that becomes the prey from insecurity, in as much as the ordinary people are major targets.
ISRCA National Coordinator added that, as a body saddled with the responsibility to act with the interests of Nigerians, guaranteed in the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, we will also play our roles as CSOS, speaking against crimes of all kinds in present day society.
ISRCA National Coordinator alleged that the deceased policeman, is a Deltan and served at Ebrumede Division, happily married and blessed with five (5) children up until his tragic demise. who then bears the burden in the upbringing of the children he has left behind.
ISRCA National Coordinator called on the Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command CP Surajudeen Olufemi Abaniwonda, to ensure that the family of the deceased police officer, is duly compensated and provisions be made to award scholarships that would see all five (5) children through their academic years, both in their primary and secondary education.
