By Ahabamnews
The Delta State governor, Francis Sheriff Oborevwori has been called upon to attach same weight he attaches to other sectors to the power sector in the state.
Comrade Oritsematosan Agberen National Coordinator, Initiative For Social Rights Concerns and Advancement (ISRCA) gave this advise while speaking with journalists.
According to him, the governor should borrow a leaf from Lagos State, Abia, Ekiti, Enugu and Imo States which have their own Independent power plant.
He stated that if Delta State has its own power plant, such will enable residents in Delta and neighbouring States to access 24 hours uninterrupted power supply.
He acknowledged the fact that , the governor has performed tremendously since he came on board by providing infrastructural amenities across the state.
He commended him for his innovation in the construction of Effurun flyover projects and others across the state, but he reasoned that if the governor embraces the Electricity Act (EA) it will enable Deltans to access uninterrupted power supply and attract investors to the state which provides employment for Deltans.
