DELTANS URGED TO USE THE POWER OF THEIR VOTES WISELY

The electorates in Delta State have been called upon to use the power of their votes wisely.
The call was contained in the closing remarks read by the Executive Director of Policy Alert, Tijah Bolton-Akpan at a recent Town Hall meeting on open government held in Asaba, the State Capital.
The meeting was organised by a cluster of NGOS that includes, the Port Harcourt- based Policy Alert.
It was organised to provide a platform for the candidates voting to be the next governor of the state, on the furthering elections, to interact with the citizens.
The Executive Director of Policy Alert, speaking at the occasion, said that the people of Delta State have in their votes the real power to make the decision of who will be the next governor and urged them to exercise power rightly and wisely.
The governorship candidates of Young Progressive Party (YPP), New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Labour Party (LP) as well as the representatives of the governorship candidates of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressive Congress (APC) where present at the Town Hall meeting which was well attended by representatives of Civil Societies Organizations, Youths, women and the Press.
