Former Secretary and Head of Service Chief PIG Onyeobi, is Dead
A statement released according to Asaba tradition, confirmed that Chief PIG Onyeobi, the Iyase of Asaba (Traditional Prime Minister) died on April 22nd 2024, at the age of 91 years.
Chief Onyeobi was appointed by the military governor in 1984, as the Secretary to the state government and Head of Service in defunct Bendel State.
Before he was appointed he has served in various Ministries as permanent Secretary (PS) and was permanent Secretary in government House, when he was appointed as Secretary to the State government and Head of Service.
Onyeobi was a graduate University of Ibadan (UI) and also the alumina of the University (UI).
